Kundapur Trip

A photographic travel diary of a trip to Kundapur This consists of mainly scenic photos of what I observed.

Name:
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Sunil or Suneel is a common Indian male name. It means "very or Good" (su) blue (nil) in Sanskrit. It also means extending all over as the blue sky or 'The Infinite'. The maximum blue is in nature i.e. the sky, the oceans, the rivers etc. The color symbolizes bravery, manliness, determination, ability to deal with difficult situations, and depth of character. It is a mystique color. Are you intrigued or mystified? :-) Meet me in order to get to know me better!

A photographic travel diary of a trip to Kundapur
This consists of mainly scenic photos of what I observed.

My room mate and I

View from Hotel Sharon!

Coconuts....to slake your thirst..

On the road!!

KUNDAPUR

Where next?!

Inside Hotel Sharon

Outside Hotel Sharon

The sands of time.................

One cant really catch the magical phosphorescence of the sea at night on camera... You have to go there to witness it..

Beached dry..

The moon at Kinnara

Its totally dark out at sea.. Of course it is... Its night after all!!

UFO???

Speed of Light!

The road less travelled.

Out to sea

Trees and sea meet at infinity....

Awesome possibilities

Back on relatively safer ground... The sea can be really dangerous out there.. Believe me.. :-I

An oil painting??!

Another one?!

The rise and fall of kings.. and tides..

Hitting the shore.

The power is captivating

Dolphins are out there.. One is going into the sea.. encircled in red..

Down to sea level.

The violent sea has sand and man in its grasp..

Change in tide

Silent witnesses to Mother Nature's beauty.. and cruelty..

Standing strong in the face of stiff opposition.. Man can learn a lesson..

Destination Snack... ahead in a shack..

Weeds on the seaward side of the seawall..

Back to looking at the sea.. Its bewitching....

In the distance.. Land Ho!!

Standing tall!! Defying the elements!! A good idea for a bonsai.

A fishing boat beached.

Footprints in the sand.....

The retreating waves..

Who could have done this? A hole in the sand..

The culprit is emerging..

Caught a crab.. and not while rowing..

Rocks.. Mans attempt to recover coastline..

One last look at the sea...

The Road Ahead..

Entering the Western Ghats...

One of the many bridges..

We take the High Road...

...while the river meanders below...

Shelter by the roadside.

River and road run side by side... till the time comes to part ways..

Placid.. But no time to stop and stare..

The beauty continues..

Light and Shadows..

Stopover in the Ghats.

Stopover in the Ghats.

Time to go. Peace to all.

Night has fallen in the Ghats.

This is not Bangalore!! Traffic jam in the Ghats!!!

Sakleshpur.. Pin Code 573134... One of my aunts first posting as a medical doctor was in this then sleepy town..

On the way back...

Hope you enjoyed the photos.
